The position we are brewing:

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, Beyond The Café team is growing and fast! We need a highly motivated, driven, Inside Sales Representative to help us continue to grow our foodservice business (hotels, offices, restaurants, convenience stores, colleges and universities, and many more). This is a new position focused on finding and working with new customers. The position is remote and based in the Los Angeles area with a need to be in the office a minimum of twice per month.

This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Foodservice, Beyond The Café.

What you will Measure and Blend:

To be successful in this role the person should not be scared to call new potential customers – that’s the job! The individual should be able to gain an instant report with new target customers over the phone. A top inside sales representative should be competitive and a good listener. Psst… you should love coffee or tea too!

Responsibilities include-

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Researching and qualifying new leads
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets

Your Ingredients:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED (bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Previous experience with coffee or tea preferred
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Hubspot.com preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets
